What Services we offer

Authentication / Eligibility (with Data)

eALEAT Services through the National ID Card offers to all Albanian Citizens the following three Services: Authentication, Authentication and DATA, and Electronic Signing.

Authentication 

Authentication means to verify the ID card owner with the ID Card (match on card) through PIN code entry or biometric match. Match on card is the comparison of the data that are in the ID Card with the secure and unique PIN code which only the cardholder knows and uses or by biometry which means the fingerprint captured is the same with the fingerprint data stored in the ID Card.

eALEAT Platform will check if your ID Card is valid and is activated. eALEAT Authentication Service result will be Cardholder Name + Surname + National Identification Number NID

eALEAT Services – SECURE AUTHENTICATION

  • User needs to declare consent 
  • Provide Authentication
  • Identity Proof
  • NID & Name of the User

 

Authentication & DATA (Eligibility)

eALEAT Services offer more data from the ID Card to a Service Provider in case there is such a relationship request from the Service Provider as per their needs. Service Providers (Government or Businesses) can request to fill forms in the same way that you fill in their offices/shops and these forms can also be filled electronically through the easy process of the eALEAT Services. 

Citizen Consent: The Cardholder should approve the sending of one or more data or can cancel this process as per his/her will and right. The data that can be transferred electronically from your ID Card are only those that are printed in your ID Card, in the same way like you give photocopy of your ID card to be stored in an Application Form.  

eALEAT Platform will check if your ID Card is valid (cardholder is eligible to take this service) and that ID Card is activated. eALEAT Authentication & DATA Service will transfer any of the following data and before transferring electronically the data the citizen/cardholder is requested to approve such request (Name + Surname + NID + ID Card Number + BirthDate + BirthPlace + Gender + Date of Issue + Date of expiry + Portrait).

eALEAT Services – ELIGIBILITY (Authentication & DATA)

  • Through Service Provider who can request ONLY the Data printed on the ID Card
  • User needs to declare consent 
  • All Data is Provided only from the ID Card
  • Data can be used to pre-fill Forms or create Subscriptions accounts

 

Qualified Signature 

eALEAT Services through the National ID Card offers to all Albanian Citizens the following three Services: Authentication, Authentication and DATA, and Electronic Signing.

*The qualified signature is accepted in all EU countries

ID Card Owner can electronically sign electronic documents through the Signature Certificate that is stored during the Activation process of the ID Card. Albanian Legislation Law no. 9880, date 25.2.2008 ”For Qualified Signature Certificate”,  accepts as a legal signed document the Qualified Electronic Signature. 

Qualified Digital Signature signs the document through the ID Card Signature Certificate by encrypting the document with the personal codes coming from the ID Card Signature Certificate. Such process is a very complex process and more information can be found in the AKCE / NAEC website and Albanian law what Qualified Signature is and what it means. Albanian Legislation accepts the Qualified Signature in all electronic documents except for the following Documents (house loan, mariage, divorce, …) which can be done only by an authorized official Notary process, etc, as per Albanian Laws. 

*In Albania, the signature certificate in the eID is qualified

eALEAT Services – QUALIFIED Signature

  • With Qualified Signature any Document can be signed electronically (As per the Albanian Legislation)
  • The Qualified Signature is

  2. Performed securely in eALEAT Platform

  • A Service Provider Requests an Authentication and Redirects to eALEAT
  • User Interface the same for all Service Providers (Pop-UP)
  • User confirms the request from the Service provider (user consent)

eALEAT Services – How it Works For the User (Elecronic Signature)

  •  A Service Provider Requests an Authentication and Redirects to eALEAT
  • User Interface the same for all Service Providers (Pop-UP)
  • User confirms the request from the Service provider (user consent)
  • User uploads a document for signature in PDF
  • eALEAT Platform displays Document for signature, no further changes to the document
  • Document is returned electronically signed with a token and ready to upload
